E. Beaton and Hannah Washington, Ph.D. candidates from the Department
of Spanish and Portuguese at The Ohio State University, will give a
colloquium for our Institute. The title of their talk is: The (De)meaning of Place Names: A Pragmatic and Sociolinguistic Analysis of Favelado 'Ghetto.'
